About us
BEGIN Coalition
BEGIN is a coalition made up of community members living in the Bessemer, Bojon Town and Grove neighborhoods who work on revitalization and beatification projects to improve the wonderful community of Pueblo.
Our mission is to have a safe, resourceful, self-sustaining, connected communities where businesses thrive, residents are heard, and community members are engaged, proud, and healthy in the Bessemer, Bojon Town, and Grove neighborhoods.
Pueblo History and Art Walk
The Pueblo History and Art Walk consists of three loops, The Bessemer, Bojon Town and Grove loop. These loops highlight the history in each neighborhood, showcase community art sculptures, murals and wrapped utility boxes. BEGIN has partnered with Parks and Rec and the Pueblo Food Project to install a community Garden in JJ Raigoza Park to offer free fresh fruits and vegetables to the community

Free solar lights were offered to residential and commercial properties in the Grove, Bessemer and Bojon Town neighborhoods to increase lighting and reduce criminal activity

Students from Bessemer Elementary school submitted artwork designs for utility boxes to be wrapped it. There are a total of 10 boxes wrapped in the three neighborhoods
